How To Change Your Drum Sander Conveyor Belt

The process for changing out a conveyor belt on a drum sander will differ slightly from machine to machine. Generally, the process for replacing your conveyor belt can be boiled down to about six steps: 

1. Raise the drum head to provide more working room between the head and the belt.

2. Remove the bolts securing the conveyor assembly to the base.

3. Loosen the adjustment nuts on the side of the assembly that control belt tension.

4. Remove the belt trackers from the bottom of the conveyor assembly.

5. Slide the old conveyor belt off the assembly and slide your new Fintech conveyor belt on.

6. Reinstall the belt trackers, tighten the tension adjustment nuts, and secure the conveyor assembly back to the base of the drum sander.
